Altar Guild

Title:
  Altar Guild
Who:  Anyone, but primarily women.
When:  There are only three evening meetings per year to review and discuss issues and set the service schedule for the coming months:  the first Monday of October, March, and May.  Each member takes 1 month to be responsible for the Altar Guild duties.
Where:  Our Savior's.  Meetings are in the fireplace room.
How Long:  Your commitment is only for one month per year.  Renewable annually forever.
What:  



  • Responsible for flowers on the altar each week.
  • Monitor flower cooler for funeral flowers and use as needed. 
  • Maintain cleanliness in flower cooler and Altar Guild room.
  • Paraments are to be changed as needed according to the church year calendar.
  • Insure Altar clothes are clean and in good repair.
  • Responsible for Confirmation gowns and stolls.
  • Insure Acolyte & Elders gowns are clean and in good repair.  Take to Dry Cleaners as needed.
  • Festival Days – (Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.)  Plan special decorations as determined by the Altar Guild.
  • General Cleaning – main altar area, chapel altar area, and communion kneeler.
