Lutheran Women’s Missionary League

Title: LWML (Lutheran Women’s Missionary League)
Who: Any young lady or woman of the congregation over 12 years old
When: Quarterly meetings January, April, July, and October
Where: At church
How Long: Time varies for each single event.
Committee obligations can be up to a year.
Officer obligations are 2 years.
What: Assist each woman in affirming her relationship with the Triune God through prayer, study of God’s Word, and fellowship.
Share the Good News of Jesus in everyday situations.
Use gifts in mission at home, locally, nationally, and internationally.
– Cheer others (visits, cards, calls).
– Quilt for home and abroad.
– Fellowship breakfasts and Advent lunches.
– Serve party for Pathstone residents.
– Make available Christian cards and napkins.
– Donate and prepare layettes, homeless kits, midwife kits, and other ingathering as the need arises.
– Support the Lutheran Hour Ministries.
– Remember a Bethseda resident.
– Go on a mission trip.
– Support other mission needs (Hispanic, Orphan Grain Train, St. Peter Regional Treatment Center).
– Support our members who attend conventions.
– Attend rallies, retreats, conventions, and workshops for fellowship, education, and encouragement.
– Read publications such as Women On a Mission and The Quarterly.
Use Mites for Missions for project grants through District and National Projects.
