Library |
Who: | Anyone interested in the “behind the scenes” operation of the church library. |
When: | The Library Guild meets only periodically, perhaps 3 or 4 times per year, to discuss questions, issues, ideas concerning the church library. |
Where: | The church library is located in the first floor education hallway. |
How Long: | This is a totally volunteer group of people who want to help out, be a part, or just stay informed in what’s going on. Come to meetings when you can and carry out your volunteer work whenever you would like. |
What: | Individuals volunteer with cataloguing, ordering, shelving books. The group has a treasurer (there’s a library endowment). Help is needed for publications (putting items in the bulletin, newsletter), publicity, and whatever way we can assist people in learning about and using our church library. Our goal is to have a distinctivly Christian collection of books, movies, music, reference works, and periodicals appropriate for a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, although other Christian viewpoints are included. |
